Sep 13th, 2013Pretty ruby dress with brillance. Open nose, very Burgundian, between red fruits (cherry) and toasted oaky notes. Mouth, consistent with the nose, delivering as you taste many aromatic nuances, undergrowth among others. A lot of freshness yet for this 2015, it can still be drunk and evolve for several years.

Everytime I somehow recall an underwhelming tasting of Lumpp and I open one and then it's oh this is really good! That Burgundian autumnal Forest floor and leaves and ripe black berries and fruit. Good texture balanced acidic complex palate carrying to finish. Great with amahs hock. Faith restored

Jan 8th, 2021The oak is just bit too much in relation to the fruit intensity.

May 16th, 2019Colour: Quite transparent, light ruby (typical colour from a young pinot noir)
Nose: Penetrant red fruit bag: raspberries, strawberries, red cherries. A bit of woody flavours in the background (although red fruits far more evident), but not strong at all: wet leaves, undergrowth. Young pinot noir style.
Palate: Light in body, good young tannins, with a slight grip but still pleasant. A bit watery still. Hints of spices in the aftertaste. Nice astringency, quite warm and ripe in the palate; quite nice length
(23rd October – Bottle Apostle – Crouch End - Enomatic)

CVed 10/29/16. More fruit forward nose with hints of mints and eucalyptus and a bit of funk. More prominent than Faivre. Good balance on body with notes of sweetness and red fruits on palate. Medium finish with notes of berries. Tastes closer to new world style than Faivre but still delicious. Opened for Dona visit 11/3/16. Excellent. Though didn't quite paired that week with Salmon and pesto sauce while Sancerre did better.

Oct 30th, 2016Clos Jus. Yummy! Complex nose forest mushroom hay with fruit. Tannins resolving beautifully. Looog on finish. Worth the 10 yr wait! 4 days later in Kali bottle, even more fragrant, barnyard balanced by sweet fruit and silky soft tannins. Yum!
