Xinomavro Naoussea, Ktima Foundi 2017. Peppery, spicy, great chilled.

On the nose it reminds me almost of nebbiolo but a tiny bit more fruity. Blood orange, strawberry, a tiny bit of oak, this is very inviting. The palate is extremely well balanced, there is acid, yes, but there is width and fruit, there is a drying layer of tannins in midpalate (not unlike the ones you can find in noble piemont niebbiolo wines) along with a soft, expanding mouthfeel, and there is a long finish with that drying layer, those nice fruit notes that linger for a long while. This is really good!

Very nice too. Liked it colder and lost a bit of impact on day 2. Not as good as the one from a couple of weeks before.

Reminds me of a Malbec, very dry at the start, but finishes less dry. Definitely an earthy wine.

Bought at Med Market. Very nice.
