Perfect wine on a rare cold and rainy Los Angeles canyon night. Archetypal syrah.

Beautiful white pepper, slightly floral/violet/soapy, crunchy-not-sweet fruit, moderate tannins, light to medium body. Unmistakably old world Syrah. Doesn't have the depth or persistence of the great St. Jo's or the richness of the good ones in a great year, but very nice and a great value play, if a but geeky.

Vibrant violet, dark floral aromas. Lots of acid, but also so much gamey goodness. Drinking while watching Star Trek and I feel like Worf would be into it.
