The 3rd wine in the Flagey Echezeaux & Vougeot lineup of Grand Crus. Delectable - this is the Grands Echezeaux. More notes to come. Much more expressive on the palate than the rather closed nose. Good power, intensity and persistence. Great potential - a long way to go.

Probably really good for most wine snobs but not for me. Quite gamey.

Started very light and nuanced. Opened up very nicely and added depth and an appropriate weightiness. Took on nice dark overtones of earth. Always a touch acidic on the tail. Perfect for our meal. 2011 vintage.
