Fairly structured but still light on its feet. Red cherry, fairly primary with a bit of game. Not the most complex. Had I not known what it was, I might have guessed a California Pinot made in a Burgundian style, given the overall sweetness and lack of complexity. Had high hopes for this but was truly unimpressed. Of course I’m probably drinking this a decade before it’s time, but still, a Grand Cru should really jump out at me more. I guess not every Grand Cru can be a revelation.
