Clos Rond Mercurey Pinot Noir

A touch of barnyard on the nose, lighter and less fruit-forward than other Faiveley Mercureys I've had, but with a stronger mineral structure.

2 Gadwall going in the oven with 4 day old Mercury Clos Rond 2013 as the wine for the braise. What to pair with this "fast food" this eve?

Bright acidity with high-tone red fruit

Needs about an hour decant. Earthy. Spiced red fruit, medium+ elegant mouth feel. A little funky barnyard with some light tannins and minerality. This is pretty darn nice for $30 (marked down from 50). 

Cinnamon and plum. Beautiful.

Nice light red with a delicious strawberry note.
