Nose has crushed raspberries over flourless chocolate cake, muddy cherries, Multiflora rose and molasses-like spice notes.
Palate has raspberry fruit leather, dried tart cherry, (light) red velvet cake, sweet red pepper, granitic soil, fresh cherry with smooth tannins and a long finish.
Cork pulled for slow oxygenation for 5H, then into the decanter for +2H. Clearly a youthful bottle, likely better at 10-12Y past vintage, yet still enjoyable tonight at 7Y with proper airing.

Jul 11th, 2014Shy and closed start, but this 2008 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru, but it's deep mature profile with tobacco notes solely opens up zipping with acidity and youthful tannins. Good with some of the #Nobu rich raw tuna dishes and beef.

2007, missing vintage in bottle shot...nice body. Classic red burgundy (from my limited experience) :-).
