I will start with I was impatient and didn’t decant and consumed within 2 hours. So I didn’t really give this a fair chance to broaden. It was nonetheless very enjoyable but definitely muted. Lots of earth and depth. Fruit is buried but perhaps if I had been more accommodating it would have emerged more boldly. Solid old world PN.

Sep 6th, 2023Complex and focused. Cherry and flowers and fantastic structure. This is a mature wine and a wise old world wine. Opened up after first hour. No decant. Looking forward to the next bottle.

Clearly whole clusters when tasting blind, dark fruit, intense but with freshness, classy and long, great.

2009. Almost deep ruby. On the nose, concentrated sweet cherries and mushroom. Appetizing acidity and tannins with a bit more chew. Detectable oak influence.
