Domaine Dujac
Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Pinot Noir
Light tawny color. Clear rims. Translucent. Great aged Dujac nose. Bing cherries, sandalwood, Asian spice, ripe rhubarb and some dry brush. Smooth on the entry. Fruit is present but slightly fading. Good structure. Still in the zone but I would drink these sooner rather than later.

Oct 15th, 2022Tasted blind. Bright dark scarlet tawny color. Notes of tart cherry, earth, spice and some wood. Has a bit of a green streak in it, but it doesn’t take away from the quality of the wine. Having had 97 Dujacs many times before, I guess 97 Dujac Clos St. Denis. Someone else nails the CdlR vineyard. Good for the vintage but not at the level of the great old Dujac wines.

Mar 21st, 2021Cloudy brownish reddish purple (did I write that really?). Rhubarb and spicy fruit. Green and vegetal. Long finish. Others liked this more than me.
