I had it before, and this time I gave it a light chill and paired it with beef sirloin steak.

A blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. Unfiltered and fined.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

A pretty color of ruby with a wide red rim.

On the nose cherries, blueberries, violets, spices, river rocks, earth, concrete, light vegetables and black pepper.

Medium bodied and airy, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with cherries, sweet raspberries, tobacco, spices, coffee, earth, vegetables, light alcohol and peppercorn.

Medium finish with fine grained tannins and red chili powder.

This is a young red blend from Southern Rhone. Showing fresh fruits with earth notes. Nice and interesting.

Needs an hour to open up and remove some of the acidity. Tannins show up after 60 minutes.

Already drinking nicely, but needs a few years to calm down. Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years.

Showing mild complexity, and a little hot at the back of the throat right now. Gentle and elegant. Spicy and tangy.

Good by itself and better with food. Paired nicely with Camembert and crackers.

There has been tremendous transformation in this wine from when I first opened it until now. At first, you get your trademark soil and black pepper, but on the front end it was way overripe. Almost approaching California levels. After a nice hour decant, it's a balanced if not at all complex Vacqueyras. Smoke and pepper, a little earth, nothing too abrasive but nothing that stands out much either. If you like new world, drink it right out of the bottle. But I suggested taking a sip every fifteen minutes to see the transformation in its full glory.

Just opened? Give it an hour or two and wait to be amazing, barnyard to the max. Wonderful complex red fruits on the palate of raspberry, dried cranberry and a lovely mineral and spice driven finish. Great value.

Too much everything for me. Too ripe, too much alcohol. Wished for some finesse, perhaps in the form of acidity and/or tannin.

A bit unwieldy by itself. Great with steak tartare.

It's a party! Starts dry under the tip of your tongue, blasts black pepper mid-mouth, and after about 10-15 seconds, has an airy finish. Very fun wine.

Olive and dried earth on the nose with undertones of cherry. Definitely needed a little time to open up but once it does it's a great bottle
