Raspberry and mint aromas, body a bit thin, blackberry flavor with a black pepper finish. Cries out for food, on the crisp side on initial pour. Eucalyptus and black pepper finish intensifies over time. Skin astringency builds after an hour. Drinkable, but those tannin averse should tread carefully unless they decant. Skin astringency softened after four hours but the fruit also disappeared. Call it a savory wine then

Vintage 2016 / Wednesday Meatballsday / today spaghetti with polpette salsa di pomodore - meatballs tomatosauce / Cabernet Franc with a beautiful purple colour, half transparant, clearly blackberries, a hint of raspberry, Anjou is perfect with meatballs though quite harsh when you open the bottle, becomes much more friendly when you pour it out next day

Vintage 2015 - nice raspberries smell, very smooth taste with good balance, true to type cabernet franc, partnered this with boudoir noir and apple - at Hof Cleyn Mierde

Decent Cab Franc funk at 13 $, really this is textbook peppery.

Too dry and white pepper. Maybe needs a few years.

Low alcohol, delicious Anjou. Perfect with roast chicken.

Beautiful color, Apple and banana along with savory fungus notes, decent viscosity and body. Goes well with herbed chicken
