Les Muses Lirac

2015 vintage. Mainly Mourvèdre with a bit of Syrah. Biodynamically farmed. If you want to spice up your life, this is your thing. Intense perfume of provençal herbs, leather and cedar wood. Powerful taste with spices on the front line, backed up by black fruit. Very nice acidity and fine-grained tannin give this wine impeccable balance. Long spicy finish. Very good indeed. Abv. 14 %.

Full bodied subdued acidity, decent spice but lacked depth. Nose was weak. Probably because it was an already opened bottle cos I drank it by the glass.

Thick jam nose. Goji berry, plum, fraise du bois attack. Effervescent mid palate. Moderate tannins overtaken by acid.

Sour cherries, juicy raspberries, blood, chalky mineral, & snappy acidity with fun finish.

Notes of dried fruit, tart cherry and dried plum. Lower tannin. Light in body. Overall very enjoyable and interesting wine—would drink again.

Funkafied...Bretty, Black brambly fruit, crushed flowers,herb and licorice....

Nice southern Rhone funk with a touch o barnyard.
