Quintessential nose. Little hot and flabby on palate TBH. The longer this stays open, the lower the rating gets. An absolute chore to finish this bottle. Oof.

Domaine Drouchin, Dundee Hills Pinot. Red garnet color. Dark tart cherry nose bursts from the glass; with other scents of wet forest floor and vanilla. Smokey and floral notes linger. A lovely smooth dark cherry taste and tartness with cedar and pine notes. Tea, minerals and vanilla-strawberry give a nice medium acidic finish. Drinking nicely on this cool Friday evening.

Bright but rich, nose is very straightforward, not boring but specific. The texture is the best part, black cherries and jam along with background spices. Nice wine but pricey for the delivery.
opened up quite a bit after an hour or so, gained some complexity

A bit fruit forward for me, but worth another try. Had after wonderful Morey St. Dennis, which likely influenced heavily.

March 26, 2020. Super intense cranberry and mineral (iron? Graphite?) flavors. Unlike others I found nothing subtle or nuanced about this wine. I had high expectations. They were not exactly met. Probably best with a meal, which was not how I had it something with some fat to it to cut the wine’s acidity.

Really quite a nice wine. A bit of a mix of a burgundy and a Beaujolais - soft on the entry, lighter red in the glass, great acid on the finish, very balanced, delicate red brambly fruit.

For the price, this is my wine of the day - excellent. Presents true the varietal. Lovely texture, which finishes sweet.
