Friday night and I have opened the 2016 Domaine Dominique et Janine Crochet Sancerre Rouge Pinot Noir from the Loire Valley. If you are looking for alternative Pinot Noirs to Burgundy, look to the Loire Valley.

On the nose I get raspberry, cherry, clove, caramel, vanilla, herbs, oak and earth.

On the palate is cherry, raspberry, cranberry, violet, vanilla, minerality, light oak and earth

This wine is medium bodied with medium to + acidity and medium + mouth coating firm fine tannins that lead into a long fresh fruit finish. A very nice Pinot Noir from the Loire Valley and I will be looking for more. Have a great weekend and be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷
