Domaine Meuneveaux knows how to make Aloxe-Corton look really good. Nothing rustic about this. Nothing substantially dense about this. A lot of fun drinking this. Absolutely gorgeous complex oily aromatics transform over days to become a buzzing glossy sweet chocolate sheen on the palette. Great stepping stone to understanding the Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru from Meuneveaux, a genius wine that easily will make plenty of grand cru wines from the neighbors blush in embarrassment, perhaps even Meuneveaux’ own cuvees of Grand cru overshadowed 🤔
