In Beaujolais, they look north for a lunch aperitif. (Grace à Alain Coudert for this one.)

Not a very sophisticated & fine taste.. The French would probably call this ‘un petit vin’.

Superb delicate saint Veran. White peach, mango, chalk on the nose. Good palate with white peach again, a strong acid backbone, a wonderful balance and a very refreshing finish. Easy going Chardonnay that paired pretty well with oysters and wonderfully with very fresh and delicious white asparagus. Quite a bargain !

Quite sharp through the finish. Otherwise bright and full of fruit. Lovely chilled.
