Blackerry coulis with grilled game. Generous palate-feel but new French oak, too. Quite the youngster, this needs a few more years to settle down. Still, showed very well - & better - on Days 2 & 3.

This has a very lovely riff of sweet monastic spice, delicate fruit, not show'y, nuanced red fruits and a ever so slight note of tomato vine note but then some sweetness comes back, sweet liquorice smoke, amazing complexity. In the mouth this has freshness and a deft touch on the mouth, even a freshness, a great wine.
