Massive oak tannins and aroma. I wouldn’t dream of touching this for another 10 years.

Mad cranberries, smooth, perfect balance of earth. Still drinking nicely

People fall over themselves to buy Claude Dugat's Chapelle for $500/b. This is the same wine. Can anyone say métayage? It's about $100. Gorgeous wine, by the way.

Philippe Livera is how most know the wine. A recent purchase and a good one, this is a super 99 grand cru that will just get better. Red and blue-fruited, it has more density than expected for Chapelle, a little secondary and a little tertiary development, ripe tannins, hints of sous bois, there is good acidity and balance and a creamy mouthfeel--wife says "yummy." Super wine.
