Quite nice on day one, with ripe, stony Grenache character. Good ringer for Chateauneuf. Works well with spicy foods (Indian) because of the fine tannins. VGV.

Destocking at Monop: Overall past wines, too old. The risk is measured at less than €10, I buy. We taste: Dark tile dress. At the opening first disappointing nose (Nuoc Man, balsamic, past, tired). But after 1 hour it's something else: Fresh and peppery notes of wild strawberries are revealed. The nose is set up: balsamic notes, roasted, undergrowth, dried rose, candied fruits. The dress has revived, unfiltered style with a chewy depth, spicy deposit. A bit refreshed it will turn out to be very pleasant and fine.

Destockage chez Monop: Globalement des vins passés, trop vieux. Le risque est mesuré à moins de 10 €, j’achète. On goute: Robe tuile foncée. À l’ouverte premier nez décevant (Nuoc Man, balsamique passé, fatigué). Mais après 1h c’est autre chose:
des notes fraîches et poivrées de fraises de bois se révèlent. Le nez se met en place: notes balsamiques, torréfiées, sous-bois, rose séchée, fruits confits. La robe s’est ravivée, style non filtré avec un dépôt machu, épicé. Rafraîchi il se révélera très agréable et fin.
