Sainte-Épine Saint-Joseph White Rhone Blend

Only ask is for a bit more acid. But great texture, weight, lovely.

I love this wine, and it’s every bit the equal of the 2016. Lovely tension. Ample mid palate and showing a great interplay of tropical fruit and bitter herbs on the finish.

This is so delicious. Serious, muscular with loads of elegance and length for its youth. So textural and rich without any heaviness, beautifully balanced acidity and oak treatment. Ripe apricot, peach, green pineapple, vanilla, cinnamon, cream, anise, river stones, green almond, yellow flowers, honey. Very expressive nose and palate. Can sense the elevation of St Epine in its freshness and concentration. I could see this going the long haul no problem.

Huge opulent nose, smells rich, honeyed, guava, mango, apricot, peach, pollen, just a massive nose, rich, ripe. Opulent, freshness and so much acidity for a 16 N Rhone white, some gorgeous sweet barrique, amazing texture, complex. Terrific, refined, brilliant.

Wow. What a stunningly great wine. Nose is custardy with stunning gras and richness. Marzipan and yellow fruits. Huge aromas. A sense of deepness. But the party starts on the palate. Incredible decadent texture and richness but fresh as a daisy from good acid and profound minerality. So much depth, so clean and so startlingly pure. Insane wine. Drinking great now.
