Mid crimson with a tawny aspect. Notes of strawberry, red liqueur cherry and Sous Bois. Palate is sweet, also savoury and quite delicious with spice and a refreshing bitter twist at the end. Lovely 2015 fruit to the fore from Aloxe Corton. Medium palate weight but a certain richness. From a producer I have little experience with but is recommended. The following night, continuing as a great wine, lovely depth. A nice surprise.

Aug 11th, 2022Opened yesterday. Notes from Day 2 open. This wine has no right to be this good. On the nose: lovely cherry, wild strawberry, cardamom, cinnamon, soft soy...fantastic complexity. On the palate, fantastic acidity, sweet wild strawberry, spice, good density, Lovely finish with a touch of white pepper, very soft tannin. So compelling.
