Nose has ripe cherry bubble gum fruit and lots of crushed limestone dust. Very fluid in the mouth, with a tad more weight and a bit less acidity than most Sancerre rouge I’ve had. Lots of flavor, with the candied fruit and limestone minerality following through on the palate. This will make a nice summer cookout wine, and was nice tonight with our lemon/soy/red-wine braised chicken.

UPDATE: Night 2 the fruit tastes carbonic. Beaujolais goes to the Loire.
