Domaine des Anges
Chablis Chardonnay
So I needed a dry, focused Burg charbonnay fix after the monster Viré Clessé bomb from earlier.
This is a textbook chablis on the nose, crushed oyster shell, chalk, limestone, lemon and lemon peel. That's exactly what I wanted 👍🏻. The palate is very focused and shows a great acid drive. There is a chalky mouthfeel with lemony notes all along the acid backbone, before a long lemony, chalky finish that goes on for ever. It's not great by any mean, but it's exactly delivering what it's supposed to. Thumbs up!
