A touch too tilted to off-dry, this was nonetheless a superb pairing with grilled chicken in coconut garlic-ginger sauce. Bruised yellow fruit and candied apple on the nose, medium body, and a nice pickup on acidity at the end. Long and satisfying finish. For a more seasoned Chenin palate or those who enjoy the sensation of some residual sugar notes.

Loved the 2016 but this 2015 is vastly different, strong green apple nose and taste with very strong acidity, nowhere near as nicely balanced.

This was too sweet and perfumey for my taste. I later had this in a wine spritzer similar to a Lillet Vive and it was fine but on its own it tastes soapy.
