2011. Was starving for pineau d'aunis after we had none on our first trip to the Loire. Later we visited Emile. These 140 yr old vines produce approx 11 Hectoliters per hectare, with 10,000 vines per ha. He, like so many other producers, lost most of his fruit this year due to the weather, getting less than 4 hL/ha this year. Crazy.
