Deep marigold yellow color- striking in appearance. Sherry like on nose, with oxidized notes of sea brine, quince, & dried apricots; on palate add all these plus umami notes of dried apple & edamame. Broad & substantial mouthfeel. I could live in this stuff. Wax sealed cork(watch for the crumbly bits!) & given the depth of flavor here, a relative pittance to be paid in exchange for the experience. Paired with Gochugang spicy potato, bean, & kale stew w parsley & Greek yogurt. Chardonnay w a smidge of savignin.

Green apple, mushrooms, forest floor aromas. Pomelo and lime zest, walnut on the finish. Good volume, good acid. Great value.

Takes on more volume and breadth after a few days open.

I love Jura wines! The similarities with sherry are obvious but the aroma is softer, mellower. Spices, ripe fruit, nuts, savory, oysters, and some honey below the surface. Medium-bodied, dusty, and a little tannin. Dry bitter lime, apples, with a lingering finish. This is a beautiful wine.

Jura Wine Tasting: medium golden yellow with brownish tinge; green apple, bruised/brownish apple, honeyed, oxidative nose; a bit of cheese rind on the palette, bitter, 13% ABV; the worst showing of the flight

Just funky Jura enough, but not over the top.

Beautiful oxidized style Chardonnay from Jura. Tangy like Manzanilla sherry with lovely baked apple and spice notes

Sous voile train still rolling. I love this wines balance of aldehyde and minty salinity.

Tart apples, white flowers, toasted almonds, Jura funk. This is going to be a great day!
