Started off with a blast of chocolate / mocha oak, but after an hour resolved itself into a nicely juicy, plump, well delineated Languedoc blend. Good BBQ wine here.

Great sipper. Enough acidity to give the wine balance. Good nose. Red fruit, cassis with a touch of minerality in the palate. Firm lush tannins. Fourth glass was much better than the first suggesting at least another year of aging. Unfortunately it didn't last until the next day so I can't gauge just how much aging.

Cocoa, kirsch, coffee notes on the nose. Burgundy clear color. Bright red fruit/cranberry, coffee, a little brown sugar-bruleed sugar, and orange rind. Strong acidity.

Love this. Spicy, bramble dark fruits, but plenty of fragrance and tart acidity to make for a super glass of wine. Less showy than the other cuvée from Hortus
