Been a couple years since I’ve had this. Still needs decanting (a little tart to start) and better the second day (after the funk blows off) great with food.

Jul 30th, 2020Must have been a scorcher vintage cause don’t remember 14.5% alcohol. Still a go to summer red though. Fresh, balanced still, all red fruits with strong raspberry pull. Dense dark red appearance. Originally a Daniel Johnnes find, Skurnik importer.

Jan 3rd, 2018Feels like you're drinking chalk. Chalk and blood. The fruit flits by later. I dig it immensely.

Oct 8th, 2017Pure pleasure and finesse! A little tight to start, but a quick decant helped. Pretty florals and red fruit nose. I need a case of this stuff! SS

Sep 15th, 2017High score for enjoyability not complexity. Grainy fine tannins, real verve & energy, cassis/currants. Johannes find.

Aug 2nd, 2017If you want to taste a cracking good Saumur that speaks the region and the varietal without paying the bullshit prices of Rougeard or Guiberteau - buy a whole case, instead of a bottle or two of those others - drink and enjoy with friends - instead of fondling them like a perv! Thanks Daniel J for finding this and brining sanity to this great region. 2011 vintage.
