Muted nose which didn't give up too much. Hazelnuts, grapefruit and lemons are evident.
It has a heavy mouthful and the wood treatment is evident, giving the wine roundness. Finish is compressed. Good, but not great.

Apr 7th, 2024Impressive white from Clos Vougeot - balanced acidity, stone fruit and minerality. Came off as a 1er cru burgundy Chardonnay.

Mar 3rd, 2018Interesting combination of lemon/lime with green apple on the palate and a balance of flowers plus cooking spices on the nose. Paired well with my Caesar Salad

Apr 13th, 2017Notjing remarkable about nose. No viscosity; surprisingly thin. Obvious oak but not overwhelming. And good acidity. Better with food than a stand alone wine.

Apr 3rd, 2016An odd oaky nose initially that became one of the ocean and oysters, with a lovely crisp minerality on the palate, with a hint of lemon and honey, that pairs very well with Cotswold, jalapeño havarti and aged Gouda.
