Powerful, structured Mourvèdre. Rich blackberry accented by spicy black pepper. For a big wine, the aromatics are elegant, refined florals. Easy to enjoy.

I first uncorked this, and it smelled to high heaven. The wine literally smelled like dung, was hot with alcohol, and was sharp and undrinkable. I had every intention of returning it to the wine shop and snootily tell them to stop selling it, but I decided to give it a second taste. After a week sitting, it was a whole new ball game--much calmer and rounder with a not unpleasant gameyness. If you like barnyard, this might be for you.
