Tasty right out of the gate, even though this ‘14, it poured inky, totally opaque and youthful is a nose full of red & black fruit - accented by licorice, just tons of it mingled w/warm spices. Not much in the way of secondary notes. Smooth & supple on the palate w/gobs of fruit and not much else. Decent length on finish and for >$20, we were quite pleased.

Rhone Blend, 2014, this winery typically releases a little bit later, cocoa, coffee, cherry, gamey, smokiness from the barrel. Nice example of GSM, very balanced.
