Tête-à-Tête Sierra Foothills Red Rhone Blend

Berkshires left overs: my brother in law left 1/4 bottle & am again impressed by the Cali ‘new’ wave. Meaty & fruity, emphasis on latter. Still, I have a much lower tolerance for nearly 15% alcohol. I just don’t agree with it.

A little funky on the nose and mouth. Medium weight and tannins overall. Light red fruits mingling with a light layer of oak.

Dried cherries, with some pepper, gamey notes in background. Medium weight, not inky or overly extracted. Delicious Mourvèdre dominate blend.

I love an honest back label. Bill Easton says the wine is an easy drinking red, fruity, ready for current enjoyment – all those things are true. Excellent value.

Dried red fruit, baked cherry pie, wet stone, notes of black pepper, and a lengthy finish. Good balance overall.
