Splurge night! What the heck? La Tache by the ounce. Why not. I can now say I have tried it. Not sure how to describe and rate this wine. On the one hand I know the pedigree. On the other hand I know my palate and what I like. I think the wine has some great character but I find the acidity to be well beyond what I like in a wine. The minerality and earthiness comes across well before the fruit. Not sure that is the order I like. I know I will never buy a bottle of this wine but I have always wanted to taste it. Check off that item from my bucket list.
