2003 DRC Grand Echezaux. McC’s bday lunch at Ivy. Wonderful. Ordered off the list. Good acid, very smooth.

Popped and poured into two glasses my favorite Zalto and Reidel Sommelier series. Wow wildly different noses! The former super focused that latter very broad and diffuse. On the palate initially earth, black fruit but not noticeably marked as a 2003 vintage. Over time the red fruit emerges as the wine is supremely elegant Alamo’s surprisingly so! Was clearly wine of the night!
