Domaine de la Grange des Pères
Vin de Pays de l'Hérault White Rhone Blend

Beautiful black fruit, spice, garigue and tar. Will improve over the next 5 to 10 years but very sexy juice right now. Magnum bottle.

Always such a singular wine. It has the weight and richness of a white Rhône, with the acid and mineral tension of a great white burg. I like to say “Chaveneau.” It’s stunningly aromatic with layered depth and complexity, wafting from the glass with ripe tropical fruit, hazelnut, wildflower honey and pastry cream. The palate is rich and intense, but retains focus and balance along with killer volume, an elegant texture and excellent length. I continue to prefer GDP blanc to the rouge.

What a wine. It has the weight and richness of a white Rhône, with the acid and mineral cut of a great white burg. Dare I say Chaveneau? It’s stunningly aromatic with layered depth and complexity, wafting from the glass with ripe yellow orchard fruit, roasted nuts, wildflower honey and pastry cream. The palate is rich and intense, but ever so balanced, with killer volume, texture and superb length. A fabulous showing tonight. I much prefer GDP blanc to the rouge.

Smashing! Richly textured, very long, balanced acidity and held up with by tannic strength. The alcohol is not intrusive at all which surprised me given the ripeness here. Grilled pineapple, grilled peach, honey, yellow flowers, warm earth, anise, dried herbs, fenugreek, white tea, mushroom, marzipan, olive.

Never had the Blanc before. From mag, rich some oak, not sure what's in it but it was very nice.
