hmmm… if it was just chardonnay, i’d rate it a bit higher. but this is chablis, so i know what should i expect… wine is something like “flat”. sure, i can find there everything i should: lemon, apple, minerals, melon, pear, honey… but “wow” is missing. and there is no tail. i was expecting more.

Yellow green color, mellow nose of citrus and flowers. Nicely balanced wine with good persistence and citrus/mineral finish. This is just excellent value and ideal for casual drinking. I can have this any day. I also had the 2016 of this Chablis and, from memory, I feel the 2016 is a bit more complex and playful.

May 28th, 2020Very pleasant on the nose with bright floral notes along with green apple and citrus. Round and full on the palette with plenty of lemon notes and minerals mingled with a light touch of butter. Very playful and vivid. It shows a rich and rather persistent aftertaste. QPR is through the roof on this one.
