I really think global warming has actually helped Loire Cab Franc. A bit more ripeness and less green herbs/machine oil. This one’s got a great nose. Earthy, musky, slightly pungent red berries, and only the barest hint of machine oil to add some complexity. In the mouth it’s ripe and mouthfilling but with zingy balancing acids. There’s some very soft but vigorously youthful tannin. Nice now for its vigor but should be even better in a couple of years.
