Domaine de la Colombette
Notorious Pink Grenache Rosé
A nice Rosé from the south of France.
Showing light raspberries, limes, grapefruits, bitter herbs, vegetables and earth.
Light to medium in body with medium plus acidity, crisp and refreshing.
Simple and a little bitter on the ending for my taste.
100% Grenache grapes.
11.5% alcohol by volume.
84 points.

Hello 80s—Strawberry Bubblicious bubble gum IS the nose! Makes my want to lace up my roller skates and pick daisies. A springtime delight. Floral rosy notes mix with light berries. Drink some more of this pink potion, and you just may actually SEE the muddled strawberries in your glass that you already taste and smell. Ros’e all brunch!

Jul 8th, 2022My favorite rose' so far. Light peach, bubblegum, strawberry, floral on the nose. First taste is reminscent of a childhood fruity drink. Medium acidity. All good things!

Mar 9th, 2020The price of some Grenache rosé might well be your dignity, if you’re scouring the aisles of your local H-E-B. Was looking for a taste of the Sud de France and this was the only friend with my preferred pink-wine grape. To buy a mid-level rosé in America in 2020 means to submit to ridiculous branding par excellence. But it might be worth it, at least some of the time, if it lands you a B+ approximation of the thing. Though if I recall, the Notorious B.I.G. was more of a Moët man.

Feb 15th, 2020This wine was a delightful pairing with chicken tikka masala. Dry with some astringency. Delicate floral, raspberry, and citrus fruit flavors but without big acidity.
