This is a great value. Very pleasant light package (many other Bourgueil are thicker sweeter stuff, legally including Cabernet). Underripe strawberry on nose and palate, juicy plum, geranium a bit and some sweet toasted cedar more typical to Bourgueil. Great food wine or vin de soif.

Incredible value Cab Franc from Bourgueil with a gorgeous robe rich in floral and red berry notes that cascade into earthier tones and a distinctive finish of bell pepper and cedar. Medium bodied beauty from a female winemaker who tragically passed away too soon and too young. This wine achieves a pleasant balance of plush tannins and lip smacking acidity allowing all the flavors to shine and linger on the finish. This could easily be my bread and butter red.

Incroyable is right tbh - this wine is rich and earth forward, strawberries and soil, with high floral perfume on the nose. I feel like I’m standing barefoot in damp earth at a chateau when I drink this. NOT a weeknight wine - a special occasion wine.

Fragrant, medium bodied, medium plus acidity. Ripe red raspberry, blackberry on palate, herbal notes in background. Excellent. Would definitely buy again.
