Roadtrip! Visiting winemakers in Vezelay, Chablis, St. Bris and Sancerre. First stop Domaine de la Cadette in Vezelay. Very nice Melon de Bourgogne. Nowadays the grape for Muscadet wines but originally from this region. Perfect aperitif of our trip!

Very elegant, fresh and crispy, one of France best kept secret.

Melon De Bourgogne grown just south of Chablis in Vézelay not Muscadet. Nose of stones and green strawberries. Crisp and juicy.

Croustillant, sex vif et minérale mais je trouve trop chère en générale.

Vintage 2022 | curious, because this bio vin de France comes from Vezelay Burgundy and is made of the dominant Muscadet grape: Melon de Bourgogne. Very good structure, spicyness and body. Joyful drinking. Gave a glass with lunch to my son: better structure than in the Loire, he said. | paired with red mullet in tomatosauce.
