Amazing value for the price, and more complex than I expected. Carignan goes through carbonic and it shows through a little bit, but you have to search for it. More pronounced herbs, chalk, and black pepper.

60% Carignan, 30% Grenache Noir, 10% Syrah. This is a great value wine (paid around $13). Floral nose, warm berries on the palate, finishes with faint black pepper, sweet red peppers, black olives, and plum. Medium short finish. Decent acidity, paired well with chicken and mushroom risotto.
