'11, tough to put my finger on it.. Unique slightly funky smell and flavor (gotta love the funk!) with complex dark fruit. Not a ton of structure and a little astringency, but for $20 a good deal nonetheless

2011. Very interesting up or down reviews on this wine. Several mention funky notes, where I tasted none. Several noted high tannins, where maybe mine had mellowed. Body was a little thin and it did take over an hour to start opening up, but I paired it with some Indian takeout and it paired great!

Most definitely funky, with some dried meats and barnyard. Not necessarily a bad thing, but 2011 is a food wine only. Mouvedre overload?

Let it breath longer (over 24 hours), it will taste better.
