Mar 17th, 2019Dark and brooding but still easy to drink, this this Beaumes de Venise Cru shows the potential of the region. Grenache/Syrah/Mourvedre, 14.5% ABV
Production details: 100% destemmed, indigenous yeast fermentation in concrete tanks, daily pumpovers and punching down during maceration, 1-2 rack & returns during fermentation, no chaptalization. Maturation 18 months in concrete, no fining, pre-filtration at 5g, SO2 at harvest abd bottling 2g/hl. Total SO2 target 40-50mg/L.

Drinking really well. Beautiful spice, earth, herb, and fruit. You don't have to be a wine expert to like this.

The 07 is showing beautifully. Umami, savory flavors of soy sauce and roasted meats with secondary dark fruits. Seamless and textured, medium body. A fantastic value
