What a fantastic wine, especially on day two. Structure of a great merlot, fruit of southern France. Leather, smoke, bitter herbs and roots, with cherry fruit underneath. Truly a well made, serious wine.

bouquet of brown sugar, prunes, slightly rotten plums, a little balsamic, ripe black cherries, ink, blackberries, savory meat....tasting contributed: burnt sugar, black plums and a little coca-cola with roast duck!.... rich and soft thanks to the grenache, with the nielluccio giving some steely acidity. fine tannins as well. wow! thank you Corsica.

Nice at the start. But sort of a dusty taste after a little air. Quite OK, but not at almost $30.
