Secret de Nos Vignes Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Dark ruby violet with amber rim offering blackberry, black cherry, baking spices, and vanilla on the nose. Dark berries and spice are evident on the palate with fine grained tannins and a bit of Brett on the finish. Blend of 85% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and 5% Mourvèdre aged 8 months in French oak then 4 months in concrete eggs. Reasonable value for CdP. 14.7% ABV.

Lush red berries, licorice, spice and roasted orange peels, cool stuff.

Red fruit. Tannic. Long warm finish.

2/2023. Nice Grenache Mourvèdre blend. Paired well with my baked chicken & red beans and rice.

Enjoyable bottle, good fruit, cherry, some earth, mushroom

Cola and cherry followed by hints of graphite. Light tannins with a plum finish.

Nutty and cedar to the point we almost thought it was corked

Smokey, sweet strong, spicy, smooth red. Paired well with duck ragu. Nice to drink on a summer's day with barbecue.
