Nice Sancerre, but more sweetness than our go-to producer (Boulay), the Chotard is of course, lower cost (not always an indication of quality, but it agrees tonight).

Aug 10th, 2020Agree with other reviews this a crisp and light. Not at citrusy/tart as other Sauvignon Blancs. Has hints of melon, lemon and mild pepper on the finish. A little bit tannic/chalk. Easy drinking. Warning: I tried it with baked salmon, and it didn't work. Brought out a fishy-ness in the salmon that I felt was unpleasant. Might go better with a white, less "fishy" fish, or sashimi. Other than that, loved it!
