Intense and brawny on the nose, with steeped blackcurrant, green peppercorn and lavender, also a strong herbal note. The palate is rich, saturated and has supple tannins but ample grip. A sweet note of vanilla carries through to the long, warming finish. What a wine!

Black fruit, plum, blackberry, pepper, smoked bacon, wet leaves, mushroom
Palate:
Confirms the nose. High tannins, high acid, full body.
Delicious, juicy but savory.

This was quite delicious. Excellent QPR. A melange of smokey, salted, dark fruits. Blackberry, boysenberry, plums. Some beautiful floral notes on the nose. Violets. Concentrated but nicely balanced. Definitely overdelivered.
