Domaine Courbis
Champelrose Cornas Syrah
Nose is a bit restrained. Black forrest fruits, some smoke and minerals . Opens up more with air. Palette shows plenty fruit and acidity. Ok balance. Fine grained tannins. Mid palette is a bit dull, acidity and minerals lift it up towards the end creating a good finish. Not at the end of its life yet.

Dec 26th, 2019Dark fruit, ink, black pepper, sous-bois, smoked ham.
Starting to develop some maturation nuances, dusty tannines, rustic acidity. Not as savage and outdoorsey like the more traditionally produced Cornas, but no fruitbomb either.
An inbetweener.
Benefitted from aeration.

Rich strawberry and lavender aromas. Balance is spot on through the palate. Nice spice on the mid, great drop to enjoy with a group of winos.
