1999 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru: from Jay. A little dull in colour. This is far more interesting on the nose than the Villages. Lots of dark and some red forest fruits on the nose as well as a little Christmas spice - quite lovely. On the palate the wine has both depth and breadth and expresses itself consistently with its nose. An impressive wine with a good finish that is certainly drinking at this time. 91/100. The wine lacks depth and the mid palate is particularly weak. However, the wine glides across the palate seamlessly, the finish is reasonable for a wine of this classification.
