Vieilles Vignes Brouilly Gamay

This is a good value for a Cru Beaujolais- high acidity with expressive black fruit and red fruit. Soft tannins and a fine underpinning of forest floor set off raspberry, wild strawberry, violet, and blackberry. Medium finish - good with food

Been sitting on this one for a few years; rewarded… earthy, juicy, bubblegum

Gamay is the grape, Beaujolais region.

Beaujolais regions does carbonic maceration- whole grapes and don’t crush. Put them in a container and pump full of carbon rich environment, almost 100% of fermentation happens inside the grape vs. exterior. Less tannic.

High acid and big fruit. Can be chilled. Don’t age.

Uninspiring - slightly metallic and fairly tannic. At least it's decent with food.

Yum, fruity raspberry, strawberry and cherry, low tannin, goes down easy. Super tasty and well balanced if simple.

Best chilled; will be my Thanksgiving wine this year.

Acid. Not much flavour

Blackberries. Mouth watering deliciousness. Lasting finish.
